Dive into stories
Read books to expand knowledge.
You need: A book or short story you own or can borrow, plus a bookmark.
Read for eight minutes without switching tasks. Stop at a natural break. In your own words, write what happened and one question you want the next pages to answer. Put a bookmark at your stopping point.
You've done enough when: A bookmark and two sentences that make returning easy.
If the story does not hold your attention, sample another. Choosing a better fit is more useful than forcing a reading streak.

Choose a short story you already have or can borrow. Read for ten minutes at a comfortable pace. Stop at a natural break and note one character, idea or question that stayed with you.
Read a few pages without switching tasks. At the end, explain what happened in two sentences of your own. If something is unclear, reread just that passage.
Read one short chapter or a few pages. Write a three-line response: what happened, how it felt and what you wonder about next. There is no correct interpretation to find.
Browse your shelf or a library catalogue. Choose three titles that catch your interest and note why. Pick one to sample; you do not need to buy or finish all three.
Return to a passage you enjoyed. Read it slowly and notice how a word or sentence sets the mood. Describe the effect in your own words.
Write a short, spoiler-free recommendation: who might enjoy this story and why? Keep it in your notes or share it with the community when you feel ready.
Choose what you want to read next and a ten-minute reading slot. Leave a bookmark at your stopping point. Switching books is fine if this one did not hold your interest.
Want a larger goal? A project keeps its steps and updates together. You can also keep practising and sharing updates directly from this hobby.
A useful recommendation names the title and author, describes the mood and says who might enjoy it without giving away the ending.
When you share: Share your own recommendation and invite another reader to suggest a story with a similar mood.
